Coach Walden is in his first year his head coach of the Zebras. He was an assistant in the program for the last six years and helped lead teams to two state championships and a runner up under coaches Matt Murray and Ron Bradley. Coach Walden is a graduate of Oologah High school and East Central University in Ada, Ok. After a three year baseball career at East Central he began his coaching career at a small school powerhouse Latta, helping lead them to a state championship in 1999 under the guidance of hall of fame coach Ed Collins.

Russell and his wife Melissa have been married seven years and are expecting their first child in April of 2007.
